Rev
Beautiful indeed! Great photo too. Refresh our memory though... what is this? This was on the DKArcade pre order page. This i think is the new PCB that are going to be used in some upcoming Intellivision games. You have to sign up to get on the preorder list! This is a nice looking board isnt it? It also means there are more games finally coming to intellivision.
+save2600
Absolutely awesome! Already paid for my copy of DK Arcade and am eagerly awaiting its arrival. Even got an old buddy who has nothing to do with gaming forums, doesn't follow the homebrew scene or any of that, to purchase this game. jaybird3rd
Why would it have edge connections (Of two different sizes) at opposite ends of the board, for? My guess is that the smaller edge connector is for programming the board. It looks like they designed it as a preassembled board with flash ROMs that could be programmed in-place, instead of having to build new boards for every game. It also looks like this board allows ROM sizes of up to 128K, and considering that the original cartridges never got larger than 48K, that's a decent amount of room on the Intellivision. It should open up some interesting possibilities.
+cmart604
That picture is a thing of beauty, and Jay's explanation is music to my ears. Can't wait to see what's coming for the INTV!

GroovyBee
It also looks like this board allows ROM sizes of up to 128K 128K words because of the two 28F010s its a 256KB cart.
