The Digital Press Guide covers that information as well as the various game versions, 3rd party labels, etc.

Anyone have any information on Cartridge variation on the Atari cartridges, like which were produced in the brown, silver, and XE carts, I have some games in a couple different variations and am just interested in which programs were made in which versions

Starting with the XE blue carts, there are some discrepencies that I would like to see cleared up. Last year I listed 32 XE blue label carts, see http://www.atariage.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=3584 This does not include the demo cart which is a silver label.

DP and Andrew Krieg claim existence for:

Super Breakout grey case, blue RX8006 label

Krieg also lists:

Jungle Hunt grey case, blue label

Moon Patrol grey case, blue label

(Above descriptions from Krieg's website.)

Are there any scans/pictures of these? Did they come in blue XE boxes?

While the DP Guide does contain information on 8-bit carts, it only includes games. So no utility, programming, application, educational carts, etc. There is a list of Atari part numbers in the back for 8-bit carts that does include non-game titles, but only for carts produced by Atari. Also, I'm looking through the latest version of the guide now and I don't see any information about the actual label styles each cart used (original style, gray label, XE cart).

I am interested in compiling a list of which carts are done in which style, anyone willing can send a list of their atari carts, and label styles to me at Chaos_Protocol@yahoo.com (note: although I am mainly interested in the atari ones right now I will also welcome names and companies of 3rd party programs)
