ataridave
I'm very curious about this-would it have to be the Pioneer Laseractive? Or would a regular laserdisc player do?
horseboy
If you want to play Laseractive games you have to use a Laseractive player. There are several very old players that were used in arcade games, but that is whole different animal.

Because there are some games from Taito that I'd love to play.

Bruce Tomlin
OK, thanks! But is the LaserActive region-free?? Laseractive is a souped-up Sega CD. Sega CD is very region-locked. (A Sega CD unit won't even work on a wrong-region base Genesis/MD.) However, the region lock should be entirely in the module, so I suppose an import Sega module could work. You might have a problem with PAL games (if there are any), since LD players are generally not dual-standard unless sold in the EU, but JP games should work with a JP module in a US player. Theoretically.
Brockolye
Kinda off topic...but does anyone know who will repair a Magnavox VH-8000 or VH-8005? Most LD service centers dont want to touch these Magnavisions...and this is very important to me. Can anyone help?
