65XE Proto sold on eBay

That's pretty cool to learn Atari sold computers to the Arab world. I mean I would naturally assume that would've happened under Warner's ownership of Atari Inc but these are 65XEs during Atari Corp and Jack Tramiel was definitely pro-Israel. But then again, business generally trumps politics.

 

I have a coworker originally from Iran - yes, I realize Iran isn't an Arab nation, but it's in the same part of the world and of course part of the Islamic world - and he said he [fondly] remembers Atari video games there in his childhood prior to the Revolution.
