bradhig
My original burgertime for the 2600 died a year after we got it and a friends Astrosmash died as well. Why are the M network so troublesome?
SS
'Cuz they're shoved inside those evil Intellivision casings!
MegaManFan
'Cuz they're shoved inside those evil Intellivision casings! Yup. Unstackable and unloveable. Damn them for putting Burgertime in one!
Ze_ro
I've never found an M-Network game that didn't work... In fact, the only broken games I have are a copy of Stampede (Activision), and Pac-Man (Atari). The unstackability of them is definitely annoying though. --Zero
King Atari
Why are they so troublesome? Because Mattel hated the children of America .

sku_u
All these carts are are Intellivision casings with a little piece of extra plastic at the bottom. I hate those and the equally annoying Imagic cases.
jsoper
Yeah, our childhood Astrosmash cart got messed up too, the rom board broke loose from the cart casing. It's funny how Mattel wanted to bury the 2600, but sold games for it at the same time. Then when Atari made some intellivision games, Mattel went and sued them. How whacked out is all that? Ze_ro
The funnier part is how the M-Network 2600 games are almost as good as the INTV games, which didn't exactly give you much reason to buy an INTV.... Maybe Coleco had the right idea --Zero

Right, if the gameplay was good, about the only reason to buy an INTV (for those specific games, at least) was for the graphics.

NoahsMyBro
The graphics were very similar in both systems. If you're serious, I suspect you're in your mid-20's or younger. Am I right? Or were you just joking?

Ze_ro
Too bad M-Network wasted their time on Space Attack... man that game sucks... --Zero
Adriana
Actually, the graphics aren't THAT much different. I remember as a kid I was actually shocked when the M Network games came out and they looked as good as they did -- especially considering how Mattel's advertising constantly rammed down your throat how much better the Intellivision graphics were. Better, sure... but not THAT much better. Those M Network cames come pretty damn close to their INTV counterparts.
