The first screen is reversed (you start out going towards the left from the right), but it's not bad. And yes, if you go to the AtariAge Store via this link you can get Al to make you a 5200 cart if you can get the bin. Otherwise, it's available from Good Deal Games for $33ish. The 8-Bit/5200 version/conversion isn't totally reversed. It's like many of the home conversions of DK where Kong is on the wrong side of the screen on the first board when compared to the arcade version.
