Jinks
Hey you know what would be the greatest.. If someone made downland for the 7800 ya know the trs-80 game, or made a downland 2?? It was the coolest game ever I remember playong this as a kid and there is no other game like it ever made.... heres a link in case you all did not grow up in the 80's I liked to no music and just simple sound effects to the game...I played this before I played dk or dk jr. and I liked this way way better.. Believe me its a hard game to play all 10 chambers with the anolog controllers that would not quite be at the middle and whoops you fall off the rope!! I own downland and it's a lot of fun. it would be a good fit for 7800. also, i recommend you get yourself a tandy deluxe joystick. you can set it to self center. it makes a world of difference. killersquirel
Downland rocks. I plaited that when I was younger all the time. Never beat it. The odd thing is that I just got back into my coco for the first time in 20 years in the beginning of september. I just played downland not that long ago, and yes it would be awesome on the 7800. Perhaps even an XM title. -mike
phattyboombatty
Reminds me of Goonies, which is in development for the CV, my other system of choice. but this looks original and fun. AtariLeaf
I'd love to see a few coco games ported over to an Atari system. One I love, and I don't see anything quite like it on another system, is Doubleback. You have to circle the items on the screen. It sounds easy but it gets very difficult. I don't think it would work well with a digital joystick though, it would have to be analog.
Metal Ghost
Ha....I hadn't thought of Downland in years! I played it quite a bit for my CoCo3. Remembered it being a lot of fun. Get this though...my parents got me the least expensive joysticks they had at Radio Shack though, which were non-centering. Yea, try playing with those
+swlovinist
Downland is one of my favorites for the system...love to see the sequel and would be a good one for the 7800
mtshark7
Yea Downland was an excellent game, I played the hell outta it growing up...don't think the game had BGM tho? I would love to see it ported as well as other great COCO classics such as Mind Roll!
