boxpressed
There are threads for Intellivision, Colecovision, and Atari 8-bit auctions but none for the Atari 8-bit videogame consoles, so I figured I'd start one. I thought that maybe there wasn't a need for one because the whole subforum is for Atari auctions, but it might be a good idea to separate auction reports from auction promotions/announcements. I now wait to post a report of my wins until the items are in the mail, and a rule of thumb for reporting on completed auctions that aren't yours is to wait a week after the auction ends. Here are a couple of mine in the mail. eBay Auction -- Item Number: 200674945337 Lucked into this BIN at the right time. Boxed Tapper, Spy Hunter, H.E.R.O., and Sears Adventure plus 16 more common titles for about $35 shipped. Hope manuals are included too! eBay Auction -- Item Number: 260888453785 Not in the same league as the previous score, but a boxed 5200 Mr. Do's Castle is worth at least the shipped price alone. The high shipping scared off some bidders, I assume.

IMHO, it's one of the best titles for the 5200 -- or at least, it's one of my favorites.
SpendTooMuchOnAtari
What a deal you got on that boxed 2600 game lot! I hope the carts are in nice shape for you and like you said, manuals would be nice too. Congrats on the BIN, good stuff man!

IMHO, it's one of the best titles for the 5200 -- or at least, it's one of my favorites. Mr. Do's Castle turned out to be the one in the best condition, so I'm really happy with this lot. I never had a chance to play this game on any platform, but I loved Mr. Do on the ColecoVision. What a deal you got on that boxed 2600 game lot! I hope the carts are in nice shape for you and like you said, manuals would be nice too. Congrats on the BIN, good stuff man! Thanks! This lot was good too -- but dirty! Unfortunately, the previous owner put masking tape on some of the boxes, including HERO and Tapper. Sears Adventure has a blemish on the front too. So, the boxes are all in fair shape at the best, but they all did come with their manuals (I find that if the owner is going to keep the box, the manual is usually in there too). Carts and manuals in good shape. I just never see Sears Adventure, Tapper, Spy Hunter, and HERO CIB on eBay, so a little dirt was worth it. I didn't realize that Space Shuttle came with all those cool overlays for the 2600 console. Neat stuff. boxpressed
This lot arrived a few days ago: eBay Auction -- Item Number: 370585431164 A good deal that included a Competition Pro and some nice R4-R6 games like Zaxxon, Beamrider, Montezuma's Revenge, and Star Wars. But here's the real kicker that absolutely shocked me: Both original controllers work perfectly. All buttons. I've probably purchased a dozen or so 5200 controllers and none has worked perfectly out of the box. These are rarer than the stuff listed above! Probably not a pet free home. Someone ask the local animal control authorities to investigate.

boxpressed
Yeah, I wish I had room for model variations like the Vader, or I would have snapped this one up in an instant. My loss is someone else's gain, as I'll post live deals like this one on my blog and tweet them under the username "retroauctions" (someone had already taken "retroauction" ). I've never run across a PAL version here in Canada (seller is from Toronto) so I thought it was worth the gamble. I actually didn't even know there was a PAL version until recently and I don't think its listed here at AA is it? EDIT - Nevermind, seller sent me an email confirming it's NTSC. boxpressed
Just tweeted this one too. Taiwan H6 plus a 4 switch for $40 before shipping. One works, the other doesn't. Seller doesn't say. 3 joysticks -- can't tell if they're CX-10s or not. Not a bad gamble in any event. eBay Auction -- Item Number: 270982725567 Just heard back from the seller -- the H6 is the one NOT working. cOLeCoHiTMan
I looked at that ad... but you look at the pictures, the Sunnyvale one has a sticker on it that says "No Video" $61 shipping to Canada i'm not risking that I could fix it.
