A_Belmont
*update* Shuttle Orbiter is now up on ebay, here's the link! http://www.ebay.com/itm/Shuttle-Orbiter-Atari-2600-/270887062650?pt=Video_Games_Games&hash=item3f12208c7a#ht_500wt_1413 Out of Control is pending for ebay. Currently there's another auction up, and I can't beat that seller's price. I WILL BE USING BETTER SHIPPING than he/she is using, I will be using a flat rate small priority box for Out of Control with good quality packaging supplies. If there is demand for the auction to go up immediately, please let me know. My starting price will be around $230 for the auction. Please see my last post on 1/4/12 for a more detailed (though very similar) update. *end update* Alright folks, if you live close to southwest Michigan you can get a chance at these earlier on craigslist (http://kalamazoo.cra...2772709523.html), but within the next couple of days both Out of Control and Shuttle Orbiter will be both going up for general auction on ebay. For those of you that do live closer by, please pm me and we can negotiate a sort of atariage discount, this forum has been very helpful and I'd be happy to bring the prices on craigslist down a bit - how much though, I'm not sure. Out of Control is only the cartridge Shuttle control comes with /everything/, yup, everything, and it's all in pretty darn good condition I might add. So is the Out of Control cartridge. However, just to let you all know the condition of these products, here's some youtube links of both games - I made them quickly to give y'all a good look at the condition of both products. http://youtu.be/hSSxv-KVEMw (Out of Control) http://youtu.be/G4tORdFMBW0 (Shuttle Orbiter) Let me know what you think the ebay auction should start at! It'll be going up by December 31st, unless I get a local buyer. Edited January 4, 2012 by A_Belmont
+Yurkie
Being a member with only 3 posts, you may want to provide an Ebay ID or something to add credibility. I am not a 2600 collector but am curious what people think are fair values on these. Good Luck.
A_Belmont
Good idea! Zwackery
Currently there is another Out of Control on eBay, with an opening bid of $180 and a $300 BIN, so you might have a little competition there. (That seller specifically mentions shipping in a bubble envelope, which is a disaster waiting to happen.)

A_Belmont
I was thinking of packaging it in a flat rate priority box, using packing peanuts, bubblewrap, and /or that paper stuff newegg.com now uses in it's packaging - would people find that generally secure? Did you get a local buyer? I haven't seen them on ebay yet. No I haven't - sorry that they haven't made it to ebay up, I haven't had the time to do so. I'll see what I can do about getting them up tomorrow (The fourth)
A_Belmont
Hey y'all, Shuttle Orbiter is now up on ebay! eBay Auction -- Item Number: 270887062650 The auction price is based on rarity guides I found floating about the internet for complete in box copies of Shuttle Orbiter, the buy it now price is based on if someone /really/ wants it. Please give me some feedback on the prices though, I love hearing from those who are interested in buying! Makes me a better seller, and gets you a product better. Because Out of Control is already up by someone with a price I just can't beat, I'll be holding off on that auction for a week or two. Unless people here are interested in a seller who will use a better shipping method - out of control would be shipped in a small flat rate priority box, using packing peanuts or paper and bubblewrap, much better stuff than the bubble wrap envelope. Please let me know, I want to be a good seller, AND be able to pay for text books next semester!

You think so? http://www.rarityguide.com/atari2600_view.php This rarity guide is what I used as a benchmark to set the price, since there weren't any other auctions of this game that I could find to get a better idea for the price. Dino
I personally dont think its FAR too high. You could get that price if it were mint or sealed

Well, I didn't have much information to go on given that I haven't seen any sort of auctions, or any sales of Shuttle Orbiter to have a benchmark to go against. If the auction runs out, it runs out. Until then I'll keep researching the product. Do you have any material or links that would suggest a good price? I'd really like to see them, since I haven't found any information suggesting my price was sky high. Also, I've been linked to this rarity guide by a few people on this forum, it seems to be a rather popular one.

SpendTooMuchOnAtari
If the auction doesn't sell, maybe do a Buy It Now and add Best Offer to it. That way buyer's can make you an offer and you can either accept, decline or even counteroffer. Just an idea.
A_Belmont
Thanks for the links! And yeah, I might do that if the auction ends with no bids, or who knows, I might end up keeping it. I don't have any other atari games with a box in such good condition, I must admit I was a little tempted to not put it up, but the call of funding text books put it up on ebay. We'll just have to see how it plays out? Thanks everyone!
