thegamezmaster
Does anyone know how to get those screws out that look like a star type pattern on the inside of the screw with a post in the middle? Is there a bit anywhere that can be bought to remove them? Thanks in advance for any help!

thegamezmaster
Forgot to ask but do you know which ones work with genesis ps? Thanks
Rex Dart
Whichever ones appear to. I don't have the power supply in front of me, but just look & match the bits to your power supply's screw. I think what you want is called a "tamper proof security bit", but I don't know the specific size. You should be able to buy a small set of six or so & one should fit. edit: does this appear to fit? tpugmire
Some places also call those "Security Torx Bits". Just a little info to aid in your search. Also, check auto parts stores like Autozone. They will carry them, no need to pay for shipping.
Bruce Tomlin
Also be aware that power supplies that have screws to hold them together may still be glued together.

dendawg
Take it with you to the local hardware store, or failing that, Home Depot or Lowe's and test the bits out right there.
