ColecoFan1981
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jlq360e3bdI I wonder if Opcode is interested in doing this? Released in December 1982 by Namco in Japan and all other markets except North America, and in January 1983 by Atari for North American sales. From the USA perspective, no console ports of this game appeared until Atari released this for its 7800 system in 1987, followed by Bandai's NES release in 1989. But, I wonder what the ColecoVision version of Xevious would've looked like if on a 32K ROM cartridge, in the same style of graphics as other AtariSoft efforts like Dig Dug and Jungle Hunt?? +pboland
Don't know much about programming, but maybe a MSX version can be used as some kind of base for the program. Xevious to SG-1000/MSX1
CV Gus
Sky Jaguar and Bump `N Jump would be useful to look at, especially since the CV is better at vertical scrolling than horizontal.
opcode
Xevious is in my list, please check the master catalog once the Super Game Module is out (I am not going to spoil it here). However, being a planned SGM game, I don't see a reason for limiting it to 32KB as you suggest. It is going to be as close to the arcade original as I could possibly make it,
nitrofurano
msx2 and nes versions can be a helpful reference for a remake
ColecoFan1981
Oddly enough, it was almost released for the 2600! ~Ben
