Ataritard
I don't know if it was dropped or if these are just prone to go bad. It used to work. I took it apart and poked around on it but didn't find anything obviously wrong with it. Any help or advise would be appreciated. It's the kind that has two jacks on it. One for video and one for audio. I am not optimistic about getting this working again but I figure asking the hardware crowd here is my best shot. I can take pictures of it taken apart if you think it will help.
Rex Dart
Quite possible that there's a bad solder connection on the audio jack. I'd check that out first. Then maybe look for bad capacitors, assuming there's anymore more than a black blob on the PCB.

Ataritard
Well, I succeeded... in breaking it further. Oh well, I have another one that works. I can use the one that I broke for parts for some other project.
