MEtalGuy66 Posted June 5, 2012 Share Posted June 5, 2012 Here is a simple circuit that will generate quadrature mouse signals suitable for Apple II, ATARI ST, AMIGA, and several other platforms. In this example, I converted an ADB (Apple Destop Bus) mouse into a mouse that will work with the Apple IIe mouse card or the Apple IIc. You can use this same circuit for ATARI ST or AMIGA, just change the pinout at the DB-9 connector appropriately. This is a simple circuit with very few components that doesn't require any "adjustment". I actually copied this circuit design from an aftermarket (Golden Image) ATARI ST/AMIGA mouse.
