FPSGamer
The generation nex is a clone NES console. This lot has the console and the wireless controllers.
Grig
Is it more reliable? Better sound/video output?
Austin
I have heard their reliability is iffy. Never used one myself though, so don't quote me on that. It looks like a cool little unit. I think the biggest bonus though is that it takes both NES *and* Famicom carts right out of the box.
HatefulGravey
Its pretty bad actually. I love the looks, and did when it came out some time ago, but the problems with the way it works stopped me from getting one. I wouldn't buy one unless I got it real cheap, they are just trouble. bomberpunk
they don't accept a Game Genie, and even getting a cart in and out can be a workout.... yet strangely i still keep it. oh right; the famicom port.
Rex Dart
Just do a google search and you'll see how widely disliked this thing is. It was a great idea and a great design, but it just doesn't deliver. Bad compatibility, sound, and picture.
Grig
Would it be worth it just for the games, controllers and nes decks?
Shawn
Would it be worth it just for the games, controllers and nes decks? no
Austin
Personally I'd offer $150 at most for something like that. The $200 it's at right now seems pretty steep though. Then again, it's a solid starter collection. A bunch of sports junk, but there are a lot of classics as well and a couple that aren't all that common.
