+evg2000
Last week at CGE2k12 I spotted a 5-in-1 special version 1.0 MHS cart at the atari2600.com booth. I had never heard of it, and they wanted $30 for it so I picked it up. Searching atariage I was able to gather a little information, but does anyone have any idea how rare this is or how many were made? Best guess from searching is between 6-10 copies. Any info would be appreciated. thanks, Charles evg2000
phaxda
Fun little cart, I know it was a limited release for sure. Not sure as little as 10 though... I enjoy playing mine.

I was trying to guess based on this post: http://www.atariage....ge/#entry975437 seemed like on a few more mentioned order one after this post. there was also this post that made it sound very rare: http://www.atariage.com/forums/topic/121754-limited-production-runs-anyone-know-how-many/page__hl__+mean%20+hamster%20+5200?do=findComment&comment=1474746 Edited August 20, 2012 by evg2000

+evg2000
why Atarimax?
+Mitch
why Atarimax? He designed the cart board and I believe built them as well. Mitch

phaxda
Wow, thanks for the flashback! I guess they are kinda rare, not a bad thing... Also found this thread: http://www.atariage.com/forums/topic/163058-mean-hamster-5200-games-new-cart-run/ Forgot all about AtariTris but just had a game, not bad at all. Not the greatest looking label art though. I wonder how many of these are out there too. there was also this post that made it sound very rare: http://www.atariage....00#entry1474746
CPUWIZ
Just ask Ziggystar. Or AtariMax. Also, did anyone else find the hidden proto on the multicart? Mitch I did, it's a WIP of Bryan's Castle Crisis. If it's on a regular chip, it can be found.
phaxda
That's pretty cool. Does it need to be disassembled, etc. or can a newb like me find it somehow? ↑↑↓↓←→←→BA ?

Yes, there is a way to unlock it from the menu. I won't say anymore to spoil it for you. Mitch

Atari Dogs
2005 was a great time to be into the 5200. There were a lot of conversions and new games like these being made. I haven't played mine in about three years. I might have to drag it out.
