Jinks
I have those games!! Where were you when they were developed this last year and released on the forum?? I wish I had a CC2 BUT they havent made them for a decade!
Jaynz
Well, he's still here - why not just ask for permission to let Atari Age make a cart for you with the newest ROM? Seems like the most prudent suggestion.
PacManPlus
Hi guys: AtariAge already has permission to sell all of my games in the store. I know Al's been busy - but I *think* once he's back from PRGE they will be added. Thanks, guys Bob
Jaynz
That reminds me, I read somewhere that you (PacManPlus) had a C package of some sort for 7800 development? If so, is that for public consumption?
PacManPlus
That would be GroovyBee. He has already used it to create some (if not all) of his games... With excellent results ( as you may have seen from his blog ).
Jaynz
Definately see it from his profile. I do admit, you doing all these games from the ASM level is very impressive. It also saddens me that my ASM skills have atrophied to the point that they have.
PacManPlus
oops - yeah I meant his profile I think his 'about me' page has it all there. Thank you for the compliments I wish my ASM was better. Edited September 4, 2012 by PacManPlus
Jaynz
You made Super PacMan in ASM. You're doing fine. Me? I'm struggling with EMU7800 recognizing custom ROMs to test out. Feh. I also need a larger block of time rather than odd minutes here and there.
Gorfy
Was the 7800 port of Gorf ever finished?
Jaynz
From going over the threads, it looks like that one bit the big one. It is one of the games I was going to visit. I've done the game logic for a Windows port (basic C stuff), but I'm a bit of a ways off from coding it on a 7800. (It and Phoenix are two of my target games, eventually.. though I admit I kinda hope someone beats me to either. )
PacManPlus
I haven't been able to get to it yet. I know I promised I would finish it (which is why he gave me the source code), but to be honest, I always had issues trying to figure out someone else's code. I was lucky I was able to make out GCC's code as much as I have.
Jaynz
Uncommented or badly commented ASM is a bit of a nightmare, yes. How far did GORF get? I'm more than willing to help out - not the least reason of which that a lot can be reused on Phoenix.
carmel_andrews
How many games you doing pacman plus, what ever happened to 'one game at a time'
Jaynz
Heh, well, maybe he is only doing one game at a time? He just has a lot in the queue.

Jaynz
Sounds like it... apparently you need to slap "Al" around to get the work done.
mmervine
Patience... Sounds like it... apparently you need to slap "Al" around to get the work done. Patience...this is a hobby and Al has to do this in his spare time!
+evg2000
And he is probably getting stuff ready for the portland retro gaming expo at the end of the month. Probably assembling and box stuff. I think he is in texas(?) and has to get stuff to Portland. Don't know where you are jaynz, but if you are anywheres near Portland you should check out the show. check it out here: http://retrogamingexpo.com
Jaynz
Mmervine, I was not actually inviting anyone to slap around Al. It's called "humor", son. Look into it. And, I'm in Colorado, so I'm watching for the scene to extend into Denver. We had a couple fo retrogaming events in the last few years, but they were poorly advertised and don't seem to go anywhere. Now that a couple of barcades have opened up and there's more of a 'retro-movement' in the local scene in general, though, maybe things will pick up and I'll learn about these events BEFORE they actually happen this time. PacManPlus
Just to update this (thanks again guys for asking) directly from Al himself: I am going to update the store software before I add all the new games, so it'll be a few weeks after the show. Then the onslaught shall begin! Let's see, for PRGE it looks like there will be four new 2600 games (plus more copies of Halo 2600), one new 5200 game and five new 7800 games. To be fair, the 7800 games are the ones Bob DeCrescenzo has sold in small quantities here (RipOff, Meteor Shower, Moon Cresta, Crazy Brix and Scramble), but they will have high quality labels and manuals, and will be made available with boxes. All the new games at the show will have boxes, and I expect those to sell quickly! Once in the store, all the new games will be available with boxes. ..Al Thanks, Bob
Albert
Thanks Bob! I didn't see this thread until just now, when I was notified by the forum that you quoted one of my posts. Yes, the games will be available in the AtariAge Store after the Portland Retro Gaming Expo. And, yes, there are many games "in the queue" and I'll be busting my hump to get quite a few games out this year. Not just for PRGE, but later in the year as well.. ..Al

+swlovinist
Gosh I love Crazy Brix, I keep going back to that one. Fantastic game. Very happy to see some of Bobs 7800 games available this year at PRGE.
