Metal Ghost Posted September 14, 2012 Share Posted September 14, 2012 Hi all....thanks in advance for any help your can provide! So I picked up a 'new' PS2 Slim at a garage sale this morning. It was missing the 'from outlet' portion of the power cord, but I had a generic one at home, so I decided to pick it up. I was pleasantly surprisedwhen I powered the console up and it came right on with no issues . Sweet! Well, I don't have any games to test it out with so I decided to try it with a movie. Unfortunately, no dice. Put a disc in, close the door, but I never get any movement. I have to mention that there's kind of like a little arm that keeps the disc from freely spinning....it's spring loaded. I assumed it was some kind of anti-jarring mechanisim. But because I have no previous PS experience I just thought I'd mention it. SO.....are there any relatively quick and easy fixes I might try to get this thing running again?
