ACML
I have an Atari 800 with video (RF, composite & S-video) that has a lot of bleed/blur and artifacting. I've had 800s with great video, but this one "not so much". Any quick ways to adjust or simple mods to improve the sharpness of text. My stock 1200XL had really poor video and I installed Clearpic 2002 and it is now absolutely awesome. Anything like that for the 800? Not that I know of, but I did this: http://www.atariage.com/forums/topic/198862-atari-800-video-upgrade/?do=findComment&comment=2602329 Not sure if it would fix the bleed / artifacting. This mod just reduced the luminosity a bit. No problems with artifacting or blurriness on either of the 800s I've tested, although I think a lot depends on the display device used. Via s-video on the LG M1721A, my 800 has bleed (but no artifacting), while on the (pictured) M227WD, the display is sharp and crisp.
