Atari_Bill
Hey all just listed on Ebay. Price too high , Yeah ! Just curious, also if these were for sale individually, cart -manual- box what would you pay? eBay Auction -- Item Number: 271082493246 I've wanted this forever. Defintely overpriced here. Can't be worth any more than $1000 in my book. Edited October 17, 2012 by Atari_Bill
marillion
I have the other 4 Superman boxes CIB, so I definitely want one of these. Can't justify any price over $250-500, though. Peace, Chip
ntavio
I think $700-800 is a fair price being it's the picture label version.
jetset
Is there some super-secret hidden level that makes the game different and/or better than the Atari version? If not, I'd pay whatever amount the seller wanted. That is, up to the same price as the Atari version. Maybe a buck or two more.
Buyatari
Is the box for the picture label different than the box for the text label?
Buyatari
The Superman picture box box looks the same as the text superman box here. Does this mean the Superman picture label has the wrong box? http://www.atariage.com/forums/topic/198550-sold-atari-2600-superman-sears-cib/
+Gemintronic
Riiiiight.. they can't find a guide for it.. so price it through the stratosphere? That makes as much sense as when a seller uses "no ac adapter" as an excuse not to test when the item clearly has a battery compartment..
Buyatari
Now at 2k+ with 4 hours left. crazy... If the box is the same couldn't you just buy the cart 500-800 and pick up a text CIB for under 200?

If the box is the same couldn't you just buy the cart 500-800 and pick up a text CIB for under 200? Since the box has sold for around a $100 and the manual for maybe $40, apparently someone (whomever e**e is) thinks the game is as rare as Air Raid. Can't say i agree, but such is life. marillion
$3,028 hammer price. I was surprised there were no last-second snipes on this one. Peace, Chip Edited November 2, 2012 by marillion

It will be interesting to see whether or not the winner gets buyer's remorse and renegs...........
Andre81
What we have here is a $3,000 "reserve" bid and a fool bidding more than that. I'm also suspicious if the other bids are legit. e**e only bid on this item in the last 30 days. Such items are usually only bought by high profile collectors and they have a much higher bidding activity than that. To me it looks like the seller wanted potential buyers to believe the game is worth more than $3k and was hoping for some last minute bids. My bet is we will see this game soon again. pinball22
Hmmn, that's definitely way more than I expected... will be interesting to see if it shows up again or if it's really going for that.
shadow460
It's re listed. I'd have to see a high res picture of the cart before making any offers.
atari181
It's worth like $700 max, that the high end the box isn't rare
marillion
How rare IS the box? I don't care (for now) if the text label Sears game is in it...I'd just like it to display with my other Superman CiBs. Peace, Chip

It took me years to find a box for sale but I bought mine for just over $100. I understand this auction is really about the Sears picture label but this is crazy!!!!!!!!! marillion
How stupid. Most people that find rare games don't deserve them at all. Peace, Chip
