BassGuitari
I always suspected that "Men-A-Vision" might have been a play on "Men of Vision." Perhaps not.
atari181
If not, I wonder if the winning bidder would one day try to resell it at a higher starting bid? They sure would be happy if they could double their money like that. Unless the buyer is someone who wants to keep it. The person who bought the $30,000 boxed only copy would probably also be pretty pissed that they missed out on the manual cheaper. Unless he wins this copy;)
Andromeda Stardust
No Coke....Pepsi. Sorry. Someone had to do it. This! Pepsi Max is pretty much all I drink: 2x the caffine and none of the calories!

VGC1612
He sold his game last Monday on ebay for nearly 14 000$ Edited November 5, 2012 by VGC1612
Andre81
Actually he had to buy it to preserve the value of his other boxed Air Raid. Otherwise a CIB Air Raid would have become a $17,200 game and boxed $15,000.
Midnight Synergy
I did like the 2nd bid.... $33,333.30. What happened to those last 3 cents??? Cheapskate! Glad Wonder got it... both because the sellers have an honest person to deal with, and because it seemed fitting for him to have the CIB copy, given what he spent the first time around. Again, congrats.
Andromeda Stardust
I could buy a brand new 2013 Mustang V6 convertible for less than that Air Raid CIB: 2013 Mustang V6 convertible Premium – $31,995 http://www.mustangheaven.com/2012/official-2013-mustang-price-list-released/
Bramsworth
All this buying stuff to just preserve value goes beyond me. Kind of impractical too since regardless of rarity you never know what could happen. The publicity and attempts at tracking down Men-A-Vison could result in more copies showing up and ruining the value that way. But regardless, congrats on your purchase, hope you enjoy getting a holy grail!
marillion
Amazing. To have that kind of spare cash sitting around is absolutely amazing. Wow. Peace, Chip

Wickeycolumbus
He sold his game last Monday on ebay for nearly 14 000$ That was another boxed Air Raid, not his. There are 3-4 known boxes.
Parrothead
Congrats to all involved. I am just glad GameGavel was apart of such a great auction. The coolest thing about this is I will probably see Jose at SC3 in a next weekend (and yes, you better bring this Air Raid to the party to show everyone) and Tricia and I are going to have dinner with Harve and Alana in a couple weeks and toast the sale. This was a tense couple of weeks but it's just as much about the people you meet in this crazy hobby as the item's themselves. I hope we can all find out the true history behind this game in the mean time. Aweome! Just awesome!
