legeek
Hi there, I've had a non-working 5200 track ball for some time, and now that Tempest is out, I really want to get it repaired. The buttons all seem to work, but I get ZERO response from the trackball itself. Does anyone here do repairs on trackballs, or know of a service? Thanks! +Cafeman
What are the "logic chips" and where do you get them? From my own experience, what needs replacing would be 1 or all of the 3 rollers. here are some links I know of. George Reese helped me to the smallest replacement roller (the one that looks like an inline skate a bit) years ago; I'm not sure where to find it now, or the other 2 - somebody post a link here if these are common components. I'd buy more to fix my 2nd Trak-ball. http://www.atarihq.com/5200/5200faq/index.html http://cafeman.www9.50megs.com/atari/5200trak-ball.html

CRTGAMER
Remove the ball and clean the rollers underneath.
