ReddMcKnight
Okay, on my 2-Port 5200, some of my games won't start up. All the games that look like actual Atari 5200 Games work fine, but games that look different physically (Star Trek, Gorf, etc.) don't work. Is this normal, or is something wrong with my games? Did you try cleaning the contacts of the carts?
AtariBrian
Since those dont have dust cover doors they get really dirty, clean them a few times and hopefully that does the trick .
bohoki
yea those and the parker brothers can get really dirty scrub them good it may even take a bit of 600 grit sandpaper to cut through the gunge but i had a star trek fail on me
ReddMcKnight
I didn't have any sandpaper handy, so I used an Eraser, and that worked perfectly! Thanks!
BassGuitari
A lot of the third party games can be very finicky to get working. I've had brand new Activision titles that I had a hard time getting to boot. You've just got to finesse them a little.

Agreed - the Activision carts don't sit firmly in my 5200's slot, and I have to finangle them to find the sweet spot.
shadow460
Funny you mention Star Trek and Gorf. Those are the two I have to mess with quite a bit to get 'em going.
