guyjin
While it's well known that the 7800 could put more sprites on the screen than its competitors, it's less well known that it could, hypothetically, put more colors on the screen as well - from a palette of 256, 25 per scanline, vs 48,25 for the whole screen on the NES and 64,32 for the SMS. What 7800 games used that color palette the most, or the best?
Trebor
Midnight Mutants seems to pull a lot of colors overall, and so does Robotron 2084. Dig Dug actually uses a bunch too, once you factor all the different maze color patterns. Super Skateboarding too I think is a strong contender. Perhaps Impossible Mission as well.

AtariMagic!
found it , amazing, can this 169-colormode be incorporated in a game ?
DracIsBack
found it , amazing, can this 169-colormode be incorporated in a game ? GroovyBee is better to answer. Maybe more of a 'title screen' or 'static screen' kind of thing.
