bfollett
I came across this little gem of an article. Atari has the 7800, Lynx, and Jaguar on the list. The 7800 info was brief and I believe worded incorrectly. http://www.tomshardware.com/picturestory/611-console-handheld-fail.html
8th lutz
The cartridge sizes mentioned in the article of the Atari 7800 is wrong. The 7800 had games that were 16kb,32kb,48kb,64kb, 128kb, and 144kb rom. Alien Brigade was released as a 144k rom cartridge game in 1990 and Crossbow was released as a 144k rom cartridge game in 1988. Master Phruby
Weird. Didn't I just respond to this thread? Oh, the topic is everywhere.
bfollett
Weird. Didn't I just respond to this thread? Oh, the topic is everywhere. I put the thread in the forums for the 3 Atari consoles mentioned. I didn't know how much cross forum viewing members here did, so I posted it in all 3... Sorry
desiv
Not really sure, for their time, you can count some of those as "crashed and burned".... Colecovision, 7800, and PC Engine had some decent sales numbers for their era's... Yes, they didn't "beat the competition," but not sure I'd count that as crashing and burning.. desiv
