Mendon
I was browsing eBay and saw quite a few ad's for Wii U consoles without a gamepad. Example: http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53200-19255-0/1?ff3=4&pub=5574883395&toolid=10001&campid=5336500554&customid=&mpre=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fitm%2F32GB-Wii-U-Console-ONLY-NO-GAMEPAD-%2F221183808818%3Fpt%3DVideo_Games%26hash%3Ditem337f951532 And then I saw quite a few listings for Wii U gamepads without a console. Example: http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53200-19255-0/1?ff3=4&pub=5574883395&toolid=10001&campid=5336500554&customid=&mpre=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fitm%2FBrand-New-OEM-Nintendo-Wii-U-Gamepad-Controller-Cradle-Stand-%2F251223680116%3Fpt%3DVideo_Games_Accessories%26hash%3Ditem3a7e192474 I don't believe you can use a Wii U without a gamepad since most of the features are contained on the pad, not on the TV screen. And there is nothing that supports two gamepads on the Wii U at the present time. So I guess I'm just curious... what do you think is going on with people splitting up the gamepads and consoles? I'm at a loss trying to figure out why someone would buy a gamepad without a console or a console without a gamepad. Maybe some sort of scam in hopes that buyers won't notice an important piece of the system is missing so they have to pay a high price for the missing piece? A homebrew project of some kind that makes use of the gamepad without using the console? Something else? Maybe I ought to write one of the sellers and ask why the item isn't complete. Or maybe I should just forget the whole thing....
Ataridroid
It's all about money, if they split it up they think they can get more money.
