JeffS
I'm trying to connect my 2 port 5200 to my Samsung flatscreen and i'm getting static bursts in the picture. I'm able to see the game screen ok but there a constant intermittent static that displays on the screen. I've tried to connect it by an Atari deluxe TV/Game switchbox with the same results. Also tried the RCA to coax connector without success. I tried to auto-discover the TV air channel again but still get the static. I connect the 5200 to another smaller Samsung flatscreen and it worked fine. I just want to use the system on my bigger TV. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks. 0078265317
Use a vcr.
Charlie_
Would wrapping the RF cord around a ferrite core help this at all?
JeffS
I dont have a vcr. I think I got rid of all of them some years ago. I'm sure its RF interference somewhere. Anything else I can try?
0078265317
Goto goodwill. Vcrs are like 5 bucks.
captcapcom
I had a similar issue, and now use an old VCR. It really does work wonders!
kensu
Are you sure you're using Air and not Cable? I had an issue with that with my 7800. Also you might want to see if there's a firmware upgrade for the TV (and no, I'm not kidding). I have a Samsung flatscreen too, and the original firmware had some nasty problems with audio distortion, it's possible you might be seeing the video equivalent of that.
