TXG/MNX
I saw that some titles for the XL where ported to the 7800 or from the 7800 to the XL. - Karateka - Tower Toppler I really would love to see: Fatal Run Commando Ninja Golf Mean 18 Are these ports done? Are there proto's, I never saw them on the XL.
+davidcalgary29
I really would love to see: Fatal Run Commando Ninja Golf Mean 18 I'm fairly certain that Accolade ported "Mean 18" over to the 8-bits in 1985 or so. And "Tower Toppler" never was given an official release, was it?
ZylonBane
I saw that some titles for the XL where ported to the 7800 or from the 7800 to the XL. - Karateka - Tower Toppler Neither of these originated on either system. Karateka was ported to the XL and 7800 from the original Apple II version (and in the case of the 7800 version... badly). Likewise Tower Toppler was originally released in Europe as Nebulus for the Amstrad and Spectrum. There are also ports for the C64, Amiga, ST, and Pocket PC. As for Mean 18 and Commando, see this Google thread.
Jetboot Jack
FYI - Tower Toppler was originally called Nebulus and was for the C64 - all other versions are ports... Which makes the rather AWFUL XE version all the more hard to understand, since C64 original is well within the 8bits ability to supercede... sTeVE
Tempest
I played Mean 18 while at John's house, and it is BAD! It's slow and the graphics are nasty. The 7800 is much much better. I also saw MIDI Maze for a few seconds and that was pretty cool (I always knew it as Faceball). Still I'd like to see these dumped some day.
