Why is Commando, Ikari, and Scrapyard dog greenish colors

I recently got back into 7800 gaming and I managed to pick up a bunch of games. However I noticed that Commando, Scrapyard dog, and Ikari worries show different colors in game than on the back of the box. For example in Commando and Ikari warriors the ground is Green instead of the tan/brown color. Another example is in the first level of Scrapyard dog the fence is green vs red/brown and the character is purple

I tried two different 7800's on 3 different TV's, (plasma, led, lcd) I no longer have a CRT so not sure if that's the culprit or not.

Im pretty sure these are all NTSC games but I cant be 100% sure

It is interesting that you posted this issue as I'm in the middle of putting together an explanation of what is actually phase shifting of the Atari 7800 colors, depending on how long the system is running.

Here's an example (CHOPLIFTER) of how much the palette may change for a game, the longer the system is running: http://www.atariage....50#entry2699707

However, the biggest problem regarding the colors you're seeing with the games mentioned is the display. For many games, the 7800 systems colors may look very different on a Plasma/LED/LCD as opposed to a CRT.

Here's an example (COMMANDO) of how different the palette is between a CRT and a Plasma/LED/LCD: http://www.atariage....25#entry2699592

To improve the colors on a Plasma/LCD/LED adjust the tint/hue adjustment on the set by turning/pressing towards 'more red less green'.

Thanks for the suggestion regarding the red and green settings. MAN!!! I had to make some crazy alterations to red/red offset, green/green offset, Tint, Saturation, and Brightness but I finally got it to an acceptable level. Not exactly like on the box but pretty darn close. Good thing I dont use the TV port on my tv for anything else and I can just save these settings. I would hate haveing to play any other system or movie on these settings.
