Pitfall II on two port not working?

Is Pitfall II on the list of games that doesn't work on the 2-port version of the 5200? Maybe I have dead cartridge then since cleaning it doesn't help.

Third-party cartridges tend to be extremely finnicky. I've got a copy of Zaxxon that I spent an hour getting to boot up after I got it. Even Activision cartridges I know for a fact work can take a bit of finagling.

 

Chances are your Pitfall II works fine, and you need to get it in the system *just* right. Sort of like an NES game.

Try fine grain sandpaper and isopropyl on the cart and system pins, then try sliding the cart as far left and right as you can after it is fully inserted. Sometimes, the pins don't line up just right.

Clean it with some alcohol,then if need be a light 600-800 wet / dry paper or something with uniform grit so as not to scratch the contact. Ive never not been able to bring an Acti cart back.

Yes, Pitfall does not work in the two port depending on the bios version.

Pitfall II however should work fine.
