labrat
The delivery confirmation on an item I'm waiting for has had no activity since Apr. 16, when it was accepted, then dispatched to sort facility. I'm wondering if there's any point to asking the seller to check at the local post office. It seems unlikely to me that it was lost on its first step in the journey as its within the same town. I suspect its either sitting in a forgotten bin at the post office or on a truck, or else it will be here any day and it was just not scanned at any point. Any thoughts? Cebus Capucinis
It was likely just not scanned at any point. The USPS as of late has been pretty bad, at least in my experience, at actually scanning anything. Packages I've received for the past 3-4 months have all only been scanned at origin, then scanned upon delivery. All have been Priority w/ DC, which theoretically should have scans at all points.
oldjd
Pretty bad is an understatement! Ever since they(PO) changed the delivery choices, its been a toss up as to when a package might make it The parcel select and first class, seem to be the worst for getting delivered in a reasonable time frame. And if you call or vist the counter, and inquire ,all you get is,head scratching and a glazed look :dunce:

Thanks, that's reassuring. I haven't been buying much lately.
20ohm20
There's a USPS package that I received last Thursday, the 18th, that still shows "out for delivery" and not "delivered".
