Has anyone tried to play this with a Wico command control joystick?

 

I just can not get the ship to stay in place. I have several Wico and they all behave the same.

I think it has to do with the slider control to center the stick. If you press left or right it actually returns to a different center value for each direction.

That is just how Wicos work.

However, I think these game ports do not have enough dead zone for a center position. Making controls way too touchy.

The only way I can play any of these (meaning pinhead, Falcon, and Hyperblast!) is to use a masterplay interface.

It is just my idea, but i think if the values for making the controls move left or right, up or down were more close to the edges the controls would be better.

As it is I can hardly play.

Not sure how many people donated for this game port, but has anyone else had issue with Wico sticks?

I bought Hyperblast. It is a good substantial game. Thanks for all these conversions. I plan to pick up some more, I like trying the demo and then getting the download for the flash cart. I have used them on a my digital stick (Starcon) and they all worked fine (the free ones, demos, and Hyperblast).
