metzger130
As I posted before I bought a 4 port system. It does power up and there is picture which looks about right. I do, however, hear a lot of static sound. What could cause this? I did notice that the plug is not the screw in kind and just pushes onto the vcr and the contacts are not the bright color you'd like them to be, they look a little corroded, not sure if that's the problem. So, the real question is, how to fix this? The system works and I would like to be able to use it whenever I want to use a 4 port instead of my 2 port. Charlie_
Could be the electronics in the switch box itself. I have one Ive been using for years and randomly when I poower up the system the display is all fuzzy. Then I have to power off and on again and it will be clear. I replaced it with another I had and the system hasn't done it again. How is the contact from the systems RCA cord and the female plug on the switch box? metzger130
I did get a nice clean signal after turning it on and off about 5 times. Last 2 times I turned it on it was fine. Could it be it wasn't used for so long that it just needed turned on a few times to work correctly?
Charlie_
could be! I know the better one I am using now makes a much louder, better CLICK when I turn the power on vs the one that was fuzzy some times..
