retroren
Hi, I put this item up auction on gamegavel.com. I included a video of the game in play. While the guy playing it never played War Room, you get the idea of its great functionality. This is the third piece of the War Room developmental trilogy. Actually there a four pieces, the final game that was mass released. Anyway, my plan is to auction each of the pieces separately. The trilogy would make a great holiday gift for a collector of vintage video games. Thank you.

phattyboombatty
Well, Ren didn't get what he wanted for it... does this mean that Pink Panther will not go up? (Incidentally, I believe that one will cause a wild response compared to War Room.)
NIAD
The owner obviously wants to sell these items, so I don't see why one should affect the other. As far as the WarRoom boxed proto that didn't meet the set Reserve Price, it just goes to show that protos that were actually completed and commercially released just don't command as much even when a cool box is included. It also goes to show what a different animal collecting for the CV is compared to other systems like the 2600 and NES... there just aren't as many big spenders. I was very interested in this proto, basically for the box, but just wasn't willing to go any higher than I did. While the Pink Panther proto will draw considerably more interest, the fact that it is most likely just a self-running demo and nothing more will temper the excitement over it as well as the price that someone is willing to pay.
