Sub(Function(:)) Posted August 21, 2013 Share Posted August 21, 2013 How would you physically mount this chip? 6116 chips are 24 pin packages the 6264 above is a 28pin chip? Also how would you handle the extra memory decoding? Or our you thinking about using them as spare parts and only addressing them as a single 4K device? I think the cleanest way would be to create an adaptor board over one of the exiting sockets and then bring on the extra RAMCSx signals form the unused socket. This would allow for the pin "incompatibility" between the two devices. BTW The 6264 is only a 8kByte chip not 64kByte the 64 refers to the bit count not bytes, so divide the 64, or 16, by 8 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
