+BBWW
Pitfall 2 Lost Caverns for Intellivision, does a ROM for this exist, let alone a game?
+intvsteve
Never heard of one, but maybe Alex.Pace would know? Would be a pretty cool project, though.
+BBWW
I'm asking to see the back of the box. The guy swears it's INTV! If it has the Atari Joystick on it...I'll know he is confused.
+intvsteve
Hmm... My Atari 2600 Pitfall II box has no controller pictured on the back. But, as you know, errors do happen, as on the back of the Congo Bongo box for Intellivision. http://intvfunhouse.com/sega/box/congobongo-back.jpg I'm thinking the guy's confused. If it's a loose cart, it's possible he's confused a C64 cart with an Intellivision one. They're pretty close in size, IIRC.
HunterZero
A homebrew Pitfall II for Intellivision would be mighty nice to have alongside Pitfall I... - J
+BBWW
After a long and involved exchange I bought the item, was then emailed that indeed it was a Commodore 64 Cart. Money is being refunded but tied up in Paypal limbo so they can make a few cents in interest. It would have been a very cool find. I was told he played it often on the Intellivision, one of his favorite games. It was bundled with 43 other games all Intellivision games, along with a system and Intellivoice. +intvsteve
That would have been an amazing find. Similar thing happened to me years ago. Thought I'd uncovered Frogger 2: Threedeep, but it was just a C64 loose cart. These things happen. +BBWW
Yeah it would have been a nice score. I hear the Cart is rare on the 64 as well. I've seen tape and disks of it however.
RetroAl
I'm having a Mandela effect moment right now, I remember playing Pitfall II on the Intellivision. Apparently it doesn't exist? I only recently purchased a system changer and don't own Pitfall II for the 2600. What the heck did I play it on?

If your memories go back further in time than two weeks, likely it wasn't the game Rev mentions.
Papa Pete
If you guys are talking about it, I have to plug this PRGE video here.....it's a VERY smooth playing game! I've done a couple other IR PRGE releases, and hope to do more like this VERY soon! Cheers! 👍 FYI: I missed adding 2 photos when I was editing this video, so when you notice.....I know....sorry, my bad. LOL

I'm not sure what version I played but I'm certain I did, just probably not on the intellivision.

RetroAl
Based on YouTube videos, I must have played the 2600 version.
Intymike
I played the C64 version back then.
carlsson
Is it out of the question that you may have remembered Pitfall 1 on the Intellivision, and thought it was Pitfall 2?
RetroAl
It was definitely Pitfall II. It had the when you "die" you go back to the last plus symbol on the ground.

RetroAl
It had the Atari graphics, the Colecovision had a different look to it.
