Zoyx
The alt fire on my 5200 doesn't work. I tried 3 different controllers... same thing. Primary fire works, alt fire (top button) doesn't work. Anything I can try to remedy this?
SoundGammon
What games are you playing? Some games only use the bottom button.

Andromeda Stardust
Pin connector might be dirty?
ApolloBoy
Failing that, either you have a bad solder joint on the controller connector or a bad 4052 on the motherboard.
zylon
Check for bad solder joints and you can switch the 4052 chip with one from another port to test if needed. Note: only practical if chips are socketed

Zoyx
No luck. I am going to re-refurb my controllers.
Zoyx
More swapping of 4502 chips and I have alt-fire (top button). Bad news, only one of my controllers works perfectly.
zylon
More swapping of 4502 chips and I have alt-fire (top button). Bad news, only one of my controllers works perfectly. At least you lucked out and one of them worked properly. It makes troubleshooting very difficult without at least one working stick.
