+grips03
Ms. Pacman for the most part works with the digital controller I just made, however I do see something strange things. recreate 1: turn on 5200 press start press and hold left - at start of game release left, watch ms. pacman go right recreate 2: turn on 5200 press start press and hold right - at start of game release right, make ms. pacman go up, release controller and watch ms. pacman go down recreate 3: turn on 5200 press start press and hold up- at start of game release up, make ms. pacman go up, release controller and watch ms. pacman go down recreate 4: turn on 5200 press start press and hold up - at start of game release up, watch ms. pacman go right After a little while of play issue is no longer present. It does not do this with the stock analog stick. I'm going to play with the resistor values to see if I can correct. Has anyone else noticed this with their digital controller? Gabriel
During some problems with the pre-release version of Tempest it was mentioned that Ms. Pac-Man used a controller calibration routine. As you play the game, it records the maximum values for left/right, up/down. It then calculates the new center based on the range provided. When you start the game and hold left, you've made the center position the new extreme right edge. Therefore it thinks center is pressed right, until you press right and register a new maximum value for that direction.
Charlie_
Yeah, in Ms.Pac start a game and move the controller around in all directions. Then RESET and it should control properly when you start a new game.

+grips03
from what I can see Defender and Xevious do the same thing as Ms. Pacman (learning mode) Edited October 27, 2013 by grips03
