rapid fire - does it improve 5200 games?

I'm making a Atari 5200 controller PCB with rapid fire for NeoGeoX controller with a built in keypad.

 

I'm working on the rapid fire part and here are my results so far.

 

Rapid fire right is every 200ms, i.e. 5 per second.

 

r1=1.8k

r2=150k

c1=1uf

Rapid fire works good:

Frogger - Just hold button and play like any other system.

Defender

Moon Patrol

Asteroids

Dreadnaught Factor

Wizard of Wor - perhaps a little better, but perhaps not, hard to tell

Berserk - you move when not shooting. Moves in a jerky way due constant switching between fire and no fire

Zaxxon

River Raid

Vanguard

 

Worse:

Centipede - better to just hold the button

Robotron is worse as the game has built in rapid fire

 

Same:

Millipede

Space Invaders - still one shot on screen

Dig Dug - allows you just hold button and auto fire, but not sure if its any faster than pressing button

Super Cobra

Xevious - or slightly worse
