Real Stereo/Surround for Atari/Coleco/Intellivision Consoles on PAL/NTSC

Im not going to tromp though youtube to check out YOUR mod when you could have just as easily posted a link to what you wanted me to see.

I can't be bothered to deal with that shit either. Extremely poor form from someone looking to sell something. ;)

And who the hell knows where he's located anyway. Judging by his English, I'd guess Poland, Croatia or somewhere out that way. Any "cost savings" buying from him will surely be eaten up by delivery fees.

Can't be bothered to fill out your profile or provide relevant info? Then don't expect others to go out of their way to track it down on a wild goose chase.

Yes it is ROHS compliant and so not illegal as dual pokey these days.

You only need to solder 4 points

It is quite interesting reading the answers and it seems there are a lot of people blaming everything which is out of their scope or opinion. So all this respect and conduct is nothing more than a lie if it counts where are you from or your spelling is incorrect. I understood.

ok all is shit you can't click? interesting point of view.

The next sentence is really interesting what is your intension blaming people due to language problems or location?

The proper video links are in the 7800 board. And BTW it sounds like crap.

sure that is really fundamental critics: "crap". A real base for discussion. Is it because it is outside of your scope or simple you can't handle youtube properly to disable the audio level adjustment done by youtube? On my iphone it really sounds noisy for example because the player for that device (within youtube) changes the volume and so any background noise (which is normal in an AD/DA process) will be moved to it's limits. But if you do not have the technical background for that then it seems you are not really interested in any audio improvements for anything.

Is your upgrade RoHS Compliant?

Like I really care, and you shouldn't either. :)

Seriously. though. it sounds great in the youtube video.

Is this a device that mounts below PoKey? Should it be over or under the SIO_FIFO?

wow one valuable comment out of 7. You are my hero - my impression was there are only people sitting there and be within their own world no allowing anything from outside.

The Audio processor is a MCU with it's own firmware and hooks to the mono signal. It then re-arrange the output creating stereo and surround, using reverb and modifies it to sound "bigger". that's why 99,9% of the posts here have not recognized it is not only a 1:1 translation from mono to stereo (funny isn't it). Due to the AD/DA process there is some noise in the background which may be a problem if you have enabled "auto volume adjustment" on your tv or youtube player. I currently test some additional filters to cut this noise a little bit down. On a real TV set with proper settings you don't notice at all until you increase volume to a level you can't talk to each others. On my TV set this happens on level 15 out of level 30 on my tv set. At this level my neighbor may be ringing on my door. I've sold nearly 100 devices with it (thanks to many modders doing the job) and there are only 2 people complain about the noise finally due to wrong TV settings. I believe this is acceptable specially as the product costs are quite low with that simplified implementation.

Glauben Sie, Sie tun sich selbst einen Gefallen, mit Kommentaren wie diesem? :?

I think in the U.S. it's called "Pissing into the wind!" or "Shitting into your own backyard.".

it depend what the intension of the former poster was. As there is no discussion and only reduction to language, country and this blame of criticism something (people in free countries call this "opinion" and "free speech") then the audience seems to be wrong. I noticed within this forums there are people living in their own world blocking anything coming from outside or hitting their own world blaming everything without trying it out first. That's quite normal and upon their own habitants dealing with "changes" they are unable to manage. If you do not like something add valueable criticism, it is ok not to like something but rude words which seems to be supported by moderators put some bad light on the audience. If I add criticism to a topic then you will find valueable input of course that is the big difference. If something is too expensive I tell you why. If someone tells me he implements "all" why is half of all available features are missing? Instead you'll get the "blame" stamp. Interesting isn't it?

Hey, I remember that! Could be cool fun and looks so easy to set up!

Yes! And, look! I will now use the latest technology to enable YOU to easily see what I am offering through the miracle of embedded links!

UPDATE: oops! I demonstrated this jaw-dropping ability in my last post. Not as exciting. It's as if putting links in a post was second nature. I wanted to show you something and I just automatically used the built-in forum tools.

and wow it sounds great if you feed stereo into it....... ups there is no stereo input from console side ;-)

but the technology behind sounds similar.... for $30 it is expensive if you must add the mono to stereo convertion.

intersting that we are now reached level two of the "destruction" rule list. The first item was blaming, the second was is lowering the efforts by posting similar components and now I'm very interested if we follow this route along to the next item on the list....

funny you link to the article describing how to split the internal channels. This is a poor man solution for stereo and do not work beside NTSC TIA versions, so very limited specially as there are 5-10 games supporting it due to the nature of programming the audio output.

In comparison: all games without modifications are stereo/surround on my solution no mather if NTSC, PAL. And it doesn't matter if programmer was so clever using different channels for the audio outputf and every device you attach is automatically supported (e.g. intellivoice or pokey based modules on Atari 7800).

Show some circuit, diagram, theory, proof, something. I am already bored, checking out now. Viel Spass!

ok it seems we reach level 3: "getting the magic behind and clone it". Someone able to follow to Level 4?

I already gave a link to the demonstration videos that are details enough together with the information how it may work.
