am1933
I have a few 4a's with cases that have seen better days, It got me thinking about how to refurb the aluminium finish. I watched a clip on Youtube about a guy who was refurbishing aluminium cooker hoods with a similar finish to the 4a's and he managed to get rid of practically all surface damage and completed them to a high shine finish. Just wondered if anyone else has had any experience with refurbing 4a cases and if so what were the results like?
Osgeld
I dont, but with aluminum you would be surprised what a little rubdown with a fine grit sanding sponge and a little clear coat could do (course its not going to get anything deep out) oh and dont use power tools, they tend to melt whatever finish you are trying to put in it Edited January 11, 2014 by Osgeld
