unoclay
Anyone able to help me identify this Atari component? I discovered it in a box of old gear, and cannot figure out what it belongs to. Trying to clear the stock of useless old components, so any help IDing this piece (see attached photo) is welcome. Text on the box says "To Computer" (sorry for the bad image). The ends of the chord are both male connectors, but to what, i have no clue. There are no model #s or any other markings on the box. It's about 2.5" x 1.5". Thanks! unoclay
Do you happen to know which computer? I have NO idea where this came from!
jaybird3rd
That was typically included with the Atari 800XL and 600XL, as I recall, but it will work with any Atari computer or console that used RF output. The box with the Atari logo probably has a ferrite choke inside it, for noise reduction.
Rybags
The RF choke in the box, although adding to the cumbersome clutter, makes a good improvement of the video - helps to reduce the noise you tend to get on the character/cycle edges. Works great on other systems that have crappy RF also (ie most of them), especially the likes of C64 and ST.

Basically im just liquidating useless gear around my storage area and wanted to figure out if this item was worth selling. Probably not worth much, but I appreciate the help for sure.
