+slx
I was unable to find any information on the end of 850 sales on the web. Was it available to the very end? That would seem strange as it would not have matched its flimsy 130XE contemporaries any more but as there was no heir apparent, dropping it would have meant cutting off Atari-made options for connectivity. Did Atari consider the 1030 enough or did they rely on third party manufactured interface options?
Andromeda Stardust
when will the other three threads get discontinued?

Lynxpro
I thought by that point, people were buying the ICD unit. Wasn't that the P/R Connecter?
+davidcalgary29
The 850 was still available for commercial sale in the late '80s. I ended up with ICD's P:R: connector and the Graphix AT, but I certainly recall seeing it around at that time. Perhaps Atari made a boatload of the things and decided that they didn't need to update the casing for the XE line?
kenjennings
Yes. ICD P:R: Connection. It was great. ICD made some marvelous stuff back then.
Mathy
Hello guys Atari made lots of stuff which they mostly stacked in nice warehouses. Where it was kept for years and years. Sincerely Mathy
