ClausB
Was there an Atari club in New York City back in the day? Where and when did it meet? I lived in Manhattan in 1984-5 but never saw one. Curt Vendel has written about being involved in one though.
kenjennings
Some archaeology..... http://www.atariarchives.org/cfn/06/03/05.php -==*** NEW YORK ***==- Long Island Atari User Group (LIAUG) Brooklyn Atari Society for Information (BASIC) Possibly more. not sure exactly how close some of the other groups listed were to NYC. Groups dissolved a long time ago. Maybe someone has newsletters from the groups. Added: Go to google and search for "Newsletter for ...fill in the name of the group shown above." I founded PDFs online for LIAUG and a description on AtariArchives.org for BASIC.

Subby
I would be amazed if there wasn't quite a few in NYC. In the early '80s we had at least one in Charleston, SC, so a city the size of New York should have several. At least one would think. +Allan
If you look in old Atari magazines, many of them listed Atari user groups. I know Atari Connection had them as well as others. Some of them did great newsletters. I would love to see a an archive of them. Allan
Fres
I think there were two pretty active ones in Indianapolis back in the day (for comparison). Larry would know better.
