Oh wow! I haven't seen a new Luke Morse video in awhile Slidel. Glad he continues to help the Neo-Geo community with his tech repairs and continues to enjoy on what he does best. I thought I subscribed to his channel. Welp, I did now.

For essentially two decades at this point, fans have been pleading for SNK and Capcom to work together again, and the wish is finally being fulfilled for a new generation.

 

Capcom just released the official character guide video for Terry Bogard in Street Fighter 6 as the game's second DLCcharacter for Season 2 after M. Bison.

 

 

Like all of the other previous DLC character guides released for SF6, the team shows off all of Terry special moves and attributes in action with more detailed explanations as to how they can be applied in the heat of battle.

 

Capcom makes sure to point out at the beginning that Terry excels in both offense and defensive options with a slew of normal and special attacks that are pretty straightforward to use and understand.

 

The guide starts off focusing on the Power Wave, which they point out moves slowly over a long distance for the light version while the medium is much faster, can cancel out opposing projectiles and knocks down on counter hit but doesn't travel fullscreen.

 

Power Wave's Overdrive variant moves even slower than the light version but can hit multiple times and makes it a great approach tool using Drive Rush similarly to Juri.

 

His heavy version of the input gives Terry the Round Wave that doesn't travel at all, but it is plus on block.

Capcom even brought in one of Terry's most obscure specials in Quick Burn, which they state can be used to combo from light attacks, hits overhead on the second punch and sounds fairly safe on block except to maybe light attacks.

 

On the medium and heavy inputs you use for Quick Burn, Terry can also perform his signature Burning Knuckle that travels different distances depending on the strength.

 

They note that Mr. Bogard can actually be at advantage if the knuckle is blocked at the correct spacing, which they point out is indicated by the screen shaking.

 

The guide also gives an example for continuing a combo after a Punish Counter OD Knuckle into his Buster Wolf Super or more extensions in the corner.

 

Similarly, they note how the opponent will stagger back when hit with the light version of Power Charge to indicate you can follow-up with more attacks while the medium and heavy versions launch them into the air — plus OD gives you a wall bounce.

 

Heavy Crack Shoot is said to travel high enough up to bypass projectiles while the move itself can't be punished on block.

 

Rising Tackle has invincibility against aerial attacks with the light version noted as being the most reliable while the heavy version travels a bit farther, an of course the OD tackle is an invincible reversal.

 

Like most other level 1 Supers in the game, Buster Wolf is invulnerable on startup and has the added benefit of traveling a good distance quickly too.

 

Power Geyser was previously shown to be one of the most unique level 2 Supers in the game considering he can burn three bars of Drive Gauge for Twin Geyser and an additional Super meter charge for Triple Geyser.

 

And finally, Terry's got Rising Fang as his level 3 Super to cash out big damage and looking cool while doing it.

 

Terry is still slated to release in just over a week from now on September 24, so fans won't have to wait much longer to take the wild wolf for a spin themselves.

Those Metal Slug Attack bows look cool. By the way, maybe we can get Mig Perez, Jorge Fuentes, and Jeffrey Montoya to make a Castlevania clone for Neo Geo? (They were behind Castlevania: The Lecarde Chronicles and Wallachia for PC. The latter is on Steam if you want to check it out.) Oh, and I started to experiment with Furnace Tracker's Neo Geo mode.
