Paul Westphal
I got a free 7800 that has no sound and bad video. What should I check first? I did check all the sauters and the board generaly looks good.
+-^CrossBow^-
Sounds like the RF modulator needs adjustment. By bad picture do you mean lots of snow or static effects on the screen? I had a colecovision that did this until I adjusted the coil inside the RF modulator. I still have that CV as my primary colecovision today. This adjustment isn't something you can do without taking the cover off the 7800. Once you do, you will see a small hole about a 1/4 inch on the upper left section that looks to have a red thing with a hold in it that you can just make out. That is where you make the adjustment I believe. They make plastic tools for this purpose but I've also used small precision screwdrivers to adjust them before. Paul Westphal
Thanks, I was thinking there was a adjustment for that. I normally work on 8 bits...Now I have to new a new power supply. I found one at The AtariGuide store for 15.99 free ship.
