SeattleStokie
I recently got hold of a 2-port 5200 in the UK, but am unsure what step-down power transformer to use (Maplin sell a 230V to 110V 45W and a 230V to 110V 100W Voltage Converters). I was wondering if any other 5200 UK owners could let me know what power converter they are using Edited April 25, 2014 by SeattleStokie
Rybags
Actual power consumption of the 5200 would be something in the order of 4-7 Watts, so I imagine either of those would be plenty. Alternatively if you had a suitable local power supply + compatible plug you could use that instead of the 5200 one.
+playsoft
I use a 75W one: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B004ZWHB56/ref=oh_details_o08_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Sir Guntz
Yep, get a local PSU with the right output and barrel connector. I've never understood people not doing that for AC adapter consoles. The only time you're actually screwed is with consoles that have a built in PSU. I don't get that either, an internal PSU takes up so much space, why not use an AC adapter?
Gaztee
Wow didn't realise there ARE so many 5200 users in the UK. I use a big step down as I used it for my NA ps3 before that got stolen!
SeattleStokie
Thanks for the responses. I've bought the 75W one from Amazon that Paul linked to and it works a treat. Now, to play my way through these lovely 5200 games :-)
