Commando - is is beatable?

Recommended Posts

I played it all the way through, with the ATR or XEX image/file (don't recall which, my 8-bit isn't hooked up ATM), loading it all into extended ram. I think it's like a 320K game right? It will tell you "every mission completed." when you finish the last level. Then it will start you over at the first level which is faster and fiercer, and a few different things (more) in game, but those may exist if you start out the game on the highest difficulty, I don't know, I just played through on normal difficulty. It sounds to me like you are only making it to the end of the first mission out of three or four missions (with multiple levels each mission).

For those Commando players like me one of the nicest things I saw recently was a beef up of the C64 version by a guy called Tom Cat, really nice update. So if you like Commando and don't mind system straying then have a look, here's his post and a link.
