Atari8bitCarts
I just acquired another Proburner, and was thinking about letting my previous one go. Then I noticed that they are not the same. The one with a dark label says "Models: 400, 800, 600Xl and 800XL." It's software main menu says 1985. Then there is the light (inverse) labeled version that says "Models: 400, 800, XL and XE". Its menu says 1984. Looking up a review it says: "Specify your computer model when you order a Proburner. The XE version required the addition of a smaller capacitor to reduce signal noise-it will run happily on the older models but the 800XL version is not compatible with the l30XE." Not sure if that was what was meant? Anybody know?, Thanx.

But When I started my Business I needed Production Equipment. I purchased a Needhams SA-20 Gang Burner. http://www.realdos.net/support.html I have owned every e-prom Burner that was sold for the 8-bit. The ProBurner I sold you, as well as a Gang Bob Burner, and single Chip Bob Burner. But When I programed all the chips for the Express Cart the Burners for the Atari could not keep up. I had also started to use both a Mega 4 ST and IBM Clone for programming for the 8-bit. But I no longer used any of the Atari Burning equipment except to test the Burner I sold you. I programmed a single 27128 25V Program Type and it took 16 mins to program a single chip. WOW equipment has come a long way. Enjoy the ProBurner. I am glad it is one you did not have. SoundGammon
Got the one on the right myself! Works great! Without it, I wouldn't have been able to make a custom OS chip for my 5200!
