Creature XL
Hey CrtXL and Popmilo this way and the way all levels display are done using 4Interleaved charsets that we then have space for the guys soft sprites It would work like this: TOP PREVIOUS FLOOR: Charset_1 Charset_1 TOP PREVIOUS.png THE 3BLOCKS FLOORS: Charset_1 / Charset_2 / Charset_3 / Charset_4 two times (each floor its 8charsets higher) 4Interleaved charset.png And we have also Charset_0 that will have all letters, numbers and symbols for the status. First step to be coder: Start counting with "0"! charset0/charset1/charset2/charset3 Have you tried making tiles (2x2 chars) for the maps? Maybe it would be better to use dynamic charsets (I think Andy00 talked about it some years ago in the "formatwar" forum). I have only used tiles up till now and they work great for my purposes. That's all I can say.
