pixelmischief
Was Ball Blazer ever released for the Atari 8-Bit computer platform in diskette form?
Rybags
Disk was the original media type for all the Lucasfilm games. The cart versions (fairly sure) for them, in fact just copy the program into Ram - a somewhat cheapish way to convert the game but makes no difference to the end experience vs running direct from Rom. BillC
Was Ball Blazer ever released for the Atari 8-Bit computer platform in diskette form? According to Atarimania Epyx and Activision (UK) also released Ballblazer on disk, ATX images of these releases are available.

pixelmischief
Damnit! How did I miss that??!! And for $20, too! I would have paid double for it, easily. Edited July 19, 2014 by pixelmischief
Jetboot Jack
In the UK Ballblazer, ROF, Koronis Rift and The Eidolon were all released on disk by Activision. The first two in large, slightly soft plastic boxes, the latter two in hard smaller plastic boxes - all with paper inlay art covers - I have all four.. sTeVE
+CyranoJ
Fantastic animation with a rotofoil while it loads from disk, as well.
pixelmischief
I was watching that promotional video for Ball Blazer, where the two "announcers" are doing play-by-play for a Ball Blazer match. Reminded me a lot of the play-by-play for the pod races in "Phantom Menace". Super-Green.
+RetroElectroDad
I have all four on disk and only The Eidolon is in the hard plastic case. My Activision Koronis Rift is in a soft plastic case similar to RoF and Ballblazer.
